Create Service

This article explains how to create a new service in the Catalog, update service information, attach supporting documents, and associate forms or Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) information.

Follow these steps to efficiently create a new service:

  1. Open the Services List

    • Navigate to Catalog section from the sidebar.

    • Click on Services to open the services list.

  2. Create a New Service

    • Click the New button to open the service creation form.

    • Enter the required basic information and select Create & Open to create the service record.

  3. Update General Information

    • After creating the service, review the information entered.

    • If changes are required, click Edit under General Info and update the relevant details.

  4. Attach Documents (Optional)

    • In the Documents section, attach any files related to the service, such as:

      • Service specifications

      • Procedures

      • Technical documentation

      • Supporting files

    • Attaching documents can provide additional information and guidance for users performing the service.

  5. Include Forms (Optional)

    • If the service requires inspections, checklists, or data collection, you can associate one or more forms with the service.

    • For detailed instructions, refer to the article on creating and managing forms.

  6. Add Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Information (Optional)

    • If applicable, include Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) information for the service.

    • OHS information helps ensure that users are aware of any safety requirements, hazards, or protective measures associated with performing the service.

  7. Result

    • Once all required information has been entered and reviewed, the service is ready for use throughout the system.

    • Services can be selected and referenced in work orders, preventive maintenance schedules and other operational activities.
