Access the Codebook
After logging in, navigate to the sidebar menu.
Click on Administration, then select Codebook.
Select an Entity
The Codebook is organized by entities (e.g., Asset, Project, Work Order etc.).
Click on the entity you want to manage.
Depending on your selection, different sections will appear below..
Choose an Action
In the section you want to update, decide what you want to do:
New – Add a new entry
Edit – Modify an existing entry
Delete – Remove an entry.
Add a New Facility Category (Example)
Let’s walk through adding a new Facility Category:
Under the Asset / Facility Category section, click New.
Fill in the following fields:
Name – The name of the new category
Description – A short description for context
Parent Category – Optional: select a parent if this is a subcategory
Active – Should this category be usable?
Selectable – Can users pick this in forms or dropdowns?
Default – Should this be selected by default?
Save and Review
Once all details are complete, click Save.
Your new category will now appear in the list and be available wherever this category is used—unless you left it inactive or unselectable.
Repeat as Needed
You can follow the same steps to add, edit, or delete entries in any other section or entity within the Codebook.
