Customize Request

Make your request forms work for you with our flexible customization options.

Follow this guide to learn how to set up efficient request forms.

  1. Access the Settings Panel

    • Log into your WorkTrek account, navigate to the sidebar menu, and click on Administration. Then, select Settings.

  2. Open Request Settings

    • Within the Settings section, choose Request from the available options to manage request form behaviors.

  3. Edit Request Definitions

    • Under Request Definitions, click on Edit to open the customization panel for request forms.

  4. Customize by Request Stage

    • You'll find three tabs corresponding to different stages of the request lifecycle:

      • Creating a Request

      • Approving a Request

      • Closing a Request

      Configure each tab to tailor the request form fields based on the request's status.

  5. Adjust Field Settings

    • Within each tab, you can set the visibility behavior for each field:

      • Hidden – the field won't appear on the form

      • Read Only – the field is visible but cannot be edited

      • Optional – the field is visible and can be left blank

      • Required – the field must be filled before proceeding

  6. Save Your Changes

    • After configuring the fields, click Save to confirm your changes to the request form.

  7. Apply the Settings

    • To ensure your customizations are applied to new requests, click Save again on the main settings page.

      Note: Don't skip this step—your changes won't take effect until you save them here as well.
