Use these steps to filter parts in our web app:

  1. Log in and Access Parts

    • Once you've logged in, select Catalog from the sidebar menu and click on Parts.

  2. Open Filter Options

    • Click on the filter icon to reveal the available filter options.

The “Parts” section of the Catalog module is open, showing a list of items with their codes, names, and categories. A red arrow points to the filter icon, indicating how to access filter options. The details panel on the right displays information for the selected part “15 Amp Toggle Switch, Grounding Clip, White.”

  3. Add Filters

    • Select the corresponding filters you wish to apply to narrow down your part search.

  4. Apply Filters

    • Click on Apply Filters to display a new list of parts that meet your criteria.

A filter panel for parts is open with several criteria selected, including Category, Measure Unit, Active status, Type, and Quantity. An arrow points to the "Apply Filters" button at the bottom right.

  5. Remove Filters

    • To remove the applied filters, click on the X icon next to the filter icon or reopen the filter options and select Reset Filters.

Similar filter view again, emphasizing the “Reset Filters” button with a red arrow at the bottom left.

  6. Use the Search Field

    • You can also filter parts by typing the part name directly into the search field.

The user searches for “Air filter” using the search field. Only one matching part is displayed in the list, and its details appear in the panel on the right.
